YMCA Summer Day Camp gives kids ages *5-12, an experience that will last a lifetime and inspires them to continue involvement with the Y for years to come.  But don’t wait!  Camp fills up fast!

YMCA Summer Day Camp activities allow children to create arts and crafts and explore science and technology. Campers will explore creativity, teamwork, and leadership in a wide range of physically active programs influencing lifelong healthy living.

THE EXPERIENCE

YMCA Summer Day Camp allows children the opportunity to explore, build friendships, develop new skills and discover creativity. YMCA staff focus on character development and emphasize accomplishments and successes in all participants.

SAFETY

Our programs are safe and full of fun activities that encourage physical activity, social interaction, educational opportunities, personal growth and creativity. All YMCA staff attend trainings that cover YMCA mission, character development and child abuse prevention.

First Congregational United Church of Christ – 54 S. Jackson St. Janesville, WI 53548We have outgrown our Janesville location and have expanded our spaces to include First Congregational United Church of Christ, directly behind the Y next to ECHO, Inc. Campers will receive ALL of the same activities and amenities as the Y location! *Camper location will be determined by Y staff based on enrollments and camper/staff ratios. Families with multiple children will be kept together at 1 location, not split up. During the registration process, you will be asked about site preference.

 In partnership with the Milton School District and to better support our Milton families, we have expanded care to Northside Intermediate School. This program will begin as Summer School Wrap Care ONLY and transition to a full Summer Day Camp program after Summer School programming concludes. Campers will receive ALL of the same activities and amenities as the Y location! 

Summer Day Camp:

2024 rates will be available in February.

Multiple Child Discount: We offer a multiple child discount of 10%. The 10% discount is applied to the oldest child. Discounts are applied manually by YMCA Staff.

Milton Summer School Wrap Care:

2024 rates will be available in February.

Registration Fee: All campers are subject to a one time $35 registration fee. Camper T-shirts are included with the registration fee.

Camp Tuition: At the time of registration, all campers are required to pay the registration fee and 2 weeks tuition up front. All families are entitled up to 5 vacation days with proper schedule change requests.

Fee Schedule:
Weekly payments are due the Friday PRIOR to the chosen week of camp. Upon completion of registration, your balance will automatically be set up for auto pay. ALL Camp payments are non-refundable.

Refunds/Credits:
Refunds are only given if a camp is cancelled before the weekly payment due date. Refunds will NOT be given once payment has been made. To receive a credit, the cancellation or change request must be made 1 week prior (Wednesday before 12PM). If a camper attends less days than registered for, there will be no credit in price. To request a schedule change, cancellation or refund/credit, please contact your Youth Development Director PRIOR to the payment due date.

Financial Assistance:
Individuals and families may apply for financial assistance for membership or programs such as summer day camp. Assistance is based on a number of factors, including total household income and number of dependents. The process is confidential and MUST be complete 2 weeks prior to the beginning of camp in order for the financial assistance to be applied to your program dues.

Wisconsin Shares is a Child Care Subsidy Program that authorizes funding for a parent to pay a portion of camp fees by using their MyWIChildcare EBT card. Visit www.dcf.wisconsin.gov/wishares/apply for more information or call 1-888-466-1239.

Janesville YMCA Campers: Breakfast and lunch is included. Please send an afternoon snack each day with your child.

Parker YMCA Campers: Please pack a sack lunch and 2 snacks each day with your child.

All campers should also bring:

  • Backpack
  • Swimsuit and towel
  • Spare change of clothes
  • Weather appropriate apparel including shoes
  • Reusable water bottle
  • Sunscreen and bug spray
  • Book

*Please add your child’s name on everything they bring to camp. If any other supplies are needed, your counselor will inform you. Also, please send your camper in clothing that is okay to get DIRTY!

All electronics, toys (stuffed animals, Pokemon, Legos, etc.) The Y is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items.

Each day of camp provides a variety of safe and fun adventures! 

  • 6:30AM Drop Off – Campers can be dropped off as early as 6:30AM.
  • 6:30-9AM (FREE!) Before Care – Structured activities and free time with morning snack
  • 9AM Huddle Up! – Every morning starts with a morning huddle. Field trips depart.
  • Camp Day 9AM – 4PM – Throughout the day, campers will participate in a wide variety of activities, including: small and large group games, skills, arts and crafts, science projects, read for 30 minutes, open swim (Janesville ONLY), rest and relaxation periods; all while growing as individuals
  • 3:30PM  All Camp Game – Followed by quiet time and afternoon snack
  • 4-6PM (FREE!) After Care – Structured activities and free time
  • 6PM Pickup – All campers must be picked up by 6PM
