Safe Sitter Essentials with CPR

Designed to prepare students to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. The Instructor-led class is filled with fun games and role-playing exercises. Students even get to use manikins to practice rescue skills like choking rescue!

Ages 11-14

Classes in Janesville are held in the Aquatics Observation Deck from 8:30am-3:15pm.

Classes in Parker are held in Child Watch from 8:30am-3:15pm.

Lunch is provided for all participants!

Many things have changed since you raised your children. It is important for grandparents to learn the new recommendations for care based on research from doctors and scientists studying the physical and emotional development of infants and children.

Taught by certified Safe Sitter Instructors, you will learn how to provide the best and safest care for your grandchildren and how to manage the behavior of children of all ages, in addition to life-saving skills such as choking rescue, first aid, and injury management.

Learning tips on creating a good relationship from the start as well as learning to say no to every request to babysit will help you enhance your relationship with your grandchildren and create lasting memories with them.

Classes in Janesville will be held in the Aquatics Observation Deck from 9am-12pm.

Classes in Milton will be held in the Lounge from 9am-12pm.

Safe @ Home

Students learn how to practice safe habits, how to prevent unsafe situations, and what to do when faced with dangers such as power failures or weather emergencies. Students are also introduced to the Safe Sitter First Aid Chart and learn a system to help them assess and respond to injuries and illnesses.

Ages 9-11

Classes in Janesville are held in Aquatics Observation Deck from 4:00-5:30 pm.

Classes in Milton are held in the Child Watch room from 4:00-5:30pm.
