Fountain of Youth Yoga Workshop

In this 2 hour workshop you will be introduced to ideas, techniques, and wisdom that can empower you, enhance your health, increase your joy of living, and cause you to live longer. Included in this workshop is a copy of this book, and an expectation is that you have read this book prior to attending the workshop. Fun and interactive experience is waiting for you!

This workshop is led by Mitch Pelsue and the cost of the workshop includes the book.

Course Outline:

  • Group discussion (topics as presented in the book) -the energetic body -prana -chakras -practice to develop a sense of the location of the chakras -Five Rites -How the Five Rites and yoga work
  • Practice -enhancing the practice -Bandhas -Mula bandh(root lock) -Janlandar bandh(neck lock) -Uddiyana bandh -roots using sit bones sitting and standing -breath, bandhed breath
  • Yoga postures to prepare for the 5 Rites
  • Learning and practicing the 5 Rites
  • Winding down with a gong savasana
  • Open discussion-what’s next?

It is encouraged that all participants read the book prior to the workshop. This workshop is intended for those age 50 and older, and requires a certain amount of physical activity. Participants will work through various traditional yoga positions and will move from standing to sitting on mats.
