We're glad you're here.
Welcome to the 135 Community Team hub — your home base for shaping what’s next at the YMCA of Northern Rock County as we count down to 135 years in 2027.
Each month, you’ll join one in-person meeting, complete a simple Ask, and share feedback that helps guide improvements at the Janesville and Milton Ys.
No membership required. No cost. Flexible to your schedule. You can join the team any time in 2026.
Next meeting: Saturday, September 12, from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Janesville YMCA
No membership required. No cost to participate. Asks are flexible to your schedule. You can join the team any time throughout 2026.
Back in April, you told us what you’d want to see at Parker Y in Milton. Remember that? If not, here’s your refresher.
The five themes from your feedback were:
- Multi-sport fields
- Aquatics/outdoor pool
- Community gathering spaces
- Youth spaces & family programming
- Getting to Parker — driving/walking/bike paths (access)
Since April, we’ve continued to talk with community partners and learn more from the City of Milton, and our Program Director, Corey Beecher, is starting to map Parker’s needs and green spaces across Milton, with financial resources and responsibility in mind.
Now, with all the new information, we want you to visit Parker again. Does multi-sport still feel right here? Where would aquatics actually go? Does the access piece hold up when you’re traveling to the facility by bike, foot, or car?
The ask: Spend 30 minutes at Parker YMCA — inside and out. Invite a friend, preferably someone who calls Milton home, to share the experience and feedback on the form below, too. We are asking you to:
- Rank it. Of the five themes we heard in April — which matters most to your family right now?
- Who’s missing? Who else should be part of this conversation — a school, an employer, a neighbor, a group we haven’t reached yet?
- Beyond Parker. Is there anywhere else in Milton where you or your family run into a lack of green space or rec space?
- Share this page with a friend. Invite a friend, preferably someone who calls Milton home, to share the experience and their feedback, too. Contact Johanna if you need more guest passes.
- Stay in the conversation. Do you have a strong commitment to Parker Y? Would you like to be contacted by the Project Team as the conversation moves forward? Have a strong idea or lead? Let Corey know.
Submit your feedback on the form below by September 11.
135 Project Updates
We’ll keep this section current with news, but also so you can see how feedback connects to action with decision-makers.
