Welcome to 135 & Beyond...

In 2026, the YMCA of Northern Rock County is celebrating more than a century of community service with a bold new initiative. With the help of our 135 & Beyond project, this celebration will honor our rich legacy while preparing for a future of expanded impact and innovation at our Janesville YMCA and Parker YMCA in Milton. 

As our membership grows and community demand increases, 135 lays a path for us to take strategic steps to update our facilities and programming to serve you better and the best part is it starts with you.

Our Vision

The 135 project will align with five key priorities that support the overall Y mission:

Implement significant building changes at the Janesville & Milton campuses and green spaces.

Deploy and diversify revenue to secure sustainable programming.

Expand program offerings and improve accessibility for families of all ages and abilities on both campuses, including enhanced childcare and activity offerings.

Our renewed focus on physical, mental, and spiritual health means better support for every community member.

Foster community through purpose-driven staffing, membership and leadership.

A Y Community Project - Let's Talk!

One of our first steps in launching this project is to hear from you! We’re hosting several 135 Reshaping Sessions to share comprehensive market, community, and strategic planning findings and invite everyone from board members, partners, members, nonmembers, and local leaders to collaborate on future possibilities. 

After each session, participants will be invited to join the 135-member Y Community Team to evaluate opportunities, advise on strategic decisions, and champion the Y’s future.

Join Us on This Journey!

Throughout the summer of 2025, we will be hosting several 135 Reshaping Sessions and learning events where community members, donors and partners can share their thoughts and help shape the future of our YMCA’s.

The 135 Reshaping Sessions are structured opportunities for the YMCA of Northern Rock County leadership to present the detailed findings from over a year of in-depth market study, community engagement, and strategic planning, conducted in collaboration with expert consultants.

These sessions are intentionally collaborative conversations where stakeholders, including current and past board members, partners, YMCA members, non-members, community voices, and local leaders, can gain clarity about the Y’s current landscape, identify needs, and discuss future possibilities.
