Employee Training & Certifications

Safety training is required for employees and volunteers in certain positions.

Staff should refer to their position description or inquire with their direct report supervisor with questions about what certifications or trainings are required for their position.

Do I get paid for training? 
Yes, your time to complete required training will be paid at your regular rate of pay. Whether completing on-line training from home, or a Red Cross course at the Y, it is the employee’s responsibility to punch IN and OUT or report a missed punch in Paycor. 

In-house Certification Courses:

  • Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid (2-year certification)

To register for in-person class:

  1. Please see your immediate supervisor for upcoming opportunities.
  2. Employees are compensated for time in required certification classes and are to use Paycor to record time spent in class. 
  3. If you are more than ten minutes late for a class, you will not be able to attend and will forfeit the registration fee.

“Learning Management System” is accessible via Paycor app or by logging in via web browser and navigate LMS under the people menu or by clicking your profile in upper right corner.

Courses required are assigned based upon the position(s) held.  If you need assistance navigating Paycor or have questions about your required training, please contact your direct report supervisor.

Employees are paid for time to complete on-line training.  Be sure you are punched in before starting your training.

If you completed training in our previous on-line platform, completion dates were transferred over to your course achievements in Paycor if not expired and are still relevant.
